Add to calendar:
Join us for a day of learning about, listening to and celebrating the Theatre Organ

Date to be confirmed.

The Musical Museum is staging our inaugural Theatre Organ Day 2024. Featuring the Museum's 12-rank, 3 manual Wurlitzer Pipe Organ and Steinway Phantom Piano from the Regal Cinema, Kingston upon Thames, as well as panel discussions, and open console sessions (try your hand at the real pipe organ!) with plenty of food & drink available from the Museum's café.

The day includes sessions from the world’s leading organists and technical information from experts maintaining these wonderful instruments around the country.

In addition to a full evening theatre organ concert, attendees can also choose to take in a "sneak preview" of a major brand new exhibition currently being assembled in one of our galleries by Korg UK, which tells the story of how music reproduction through synthesis has evolved from the 1960s to the present day. It features a comprehensive collection of over 40 of their instruments and inventions, from a playable version of the venerable ARP 2600 modular synthesizer to vintage electronic keyboards like the Korg M1.

"Members" tickets valid for members of  Musical Museum, COS, TOC, ATOS, LTOT, NETOA, SCOT, RCO.
