 the London Chapter of the American Theatre Organ Society (ATOS) set in mot
 ion the Young Theatre Organist of the Year Competition\, which over the ye
 ars has given valuable performing and social experience to many aspiring o
 rganists. Following the success of his successful teaching programme at Ry
 e College\, renowned UK organist and WHT Trustee Michael Wooldridge was ke
 en to support youngsters from all around the country by promoting the comp
 etition\, not only to encourage them to play and improve but also to make 
 what we hope will be life long musical friendships\, just as it was for hi
 m when he won it back in 1980! In 2017\, a new ‘Seniors’ competition f
 or organists was created for those aged 19 to 24\, to complement the main 
 competition and provide us with the opportunity to continue to support the
 se wonderful young stars of the future. The competition continues\, now pr
 esented by the Wurlitzer Heritage Trust. See if you agree with the judges 
 when you pick your winner from this year’s amazingly talented entrants!
